Bracketology: Indiana, Miami, Kansas, G'Town grab No. 1 seeds

(NOTE: Usually I begin posting my projections in late January or early February but taking care of a just-turned-two-year-old until the evening hours is tougher than it looks!)

The biggest thing right now is all the craziness on the No. 1 line. Unless Indiana loses out it will be a No. 1 seed on Selection Sunday. Miami also is in great shape. Kansas, with its stranglehold on the Big XII also looks like it will secure a spot on the top line. That really leaves the final No. 1 seed up for grabs. At this point, you could give the nod to a second Big Ten team (Michigan had it before the Penn State loss or Michigan State which has a slew of huge wins) but at this point Georgetown has done nothing but win and it's resume looks better each day.

I'll say what I've said for years: Being slated as one of the "Last Four In" right now is not good. If the team doesn't improve its stock the conference tournament upsets (i.e. "Bid Stealers") will snatch up some of those precious spots. From here on out it's play-your-way-in-or-see-you-in-the-NIT time.
